Registration Policy for Symposium Authors

At least one author of an accepted paper must register as Full Registration, even if the author is a student. For authors presenting multiple papers, one registration is valid for one person; however, it can cover up to three (3) papers (workshop papers included) on which the person who is registered is an author or co-author.

Authors must register prior to submission of the final version of the paper. Authors of papers in Special Sessions are required to fulfil the same conditions as authors of papers in Regular Sessions, i.e., papers for Regular Sessions and Special Sessions have the same registration policy.

Full Registration covers the whole event: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. It allows participation to any workshop, tutorial, regular or special session and the social events (welcome reception and gala dinner).

Accepted and presented papers in Regular and Special Sessions will be published in the ISWCS 2018 Proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases.

No-show policy: each paper must be presented by an author/co-author at the conference, unless the General Chairs grant permission for a substitute presenter. The conference organizers reserve the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference, if the paper is not presented at the conference.

Registration Policy for Workshop Authors

Workshop Authors can register for:

- the Workshop/Tutorial day only (Tuesday 28);

Workshops Day Registration covers only the Workshop/Tutorial day, on Tuesday, including the welcome reception. IEEE members can pay a Reduced W/T Registration fee;

For authors presenting multiple papers, one Full Registration is valid for one person can cover up to three (3) papers (regular, special session and/or workshop papers included).

Cancellation Policy

In case of cancellation of registrations, in line with ISWCS policies in the past years, the fee will be reimbursed after the event, while keeping 30 EUR for the administrative burden if registration was made before early bird deadline, 60 EUR afterwards.

If you require a letter of invitation for your VISA application, please submit a request for a letter of invitation to Transalpino at incoming@transalpino.pt. Please provide the following information in your request:
